About the destination
The 4* Athena Beach Hotel has an amazing beachfront location in Paphos, Cyprus that has stunning views out to sea and is within walking distance to the harbour and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Both Paphos airport and the three golf courses included in this package are all within a 25 minute drive of the hotel.
Athena Beach Hotel has over 400 guest rooms that come in a range of standard, superior, suites, family or executive with some of the junior suites having their own private pools. Each room comes well equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, tea & coffee facilities, iron & ironing board, hairdryer and a balcony or patio with views over the gardens or towards the sea.
There is plenty of choice for food and refreshments at the hotel with 6 restaurants serving a mix of cuisine with Italian, Mediterranean, A La Carte, international buffet and a snack bar. Take some refreshments in any of the hotels 4 bars – the beach bar, pool bar, cocktail bar and terrace bar.
Make use of the excellent facilities with the 3 freshwater outdoor pools, water slide, indoor pool, indoor & outdoor Jacuzzis, spa with a sauna, steam bath and a range of treatments available. Elea golf course is in a great location with views of stunning scenery all around. Elea has worked quickly to establish itself as a fantastic venue since opening in 2010, with top100golfcourses now ranking it as the number one course in Cyprus. A design by Sir Nick Faldo who wanted to utilize the residing beauty of the landscape and emphasise the thoughtful and strategic side of golf instead of favouring the big hitters. The fairways are wide and easy to find but so too are the large bunkers. The locally establish carob and olive trees provide shape to the course without being too intrusive on your game. An 18 hole, par 71 course that can measure as far as 6,775 yards when played from the black tees.
Secret Valley golf course takes its name from the wonderful valleys that the course winds through giving golfers plenty of challenge and excitement. The landscape has been used excellently to create obstacles from the forestry and rock formations as you plot your way around the course whilst providing magnificent views towards the mountains and also down to the sea. A Tony Jacklin signature designed course which opened for play in 1996 that is capable of testing golfers of all abilities. Troon golf has been appointed to provide management services for the golf course to ensure that the highest standards of service are always provided. An 18 hole, par 71 course that can measure up to 6,249 yards from the black tees.
Minthis golf club enjoys a unique location only ten minutes north of Paphos and 550 metres above sea level keeping it in great condition all year round. Providing great views throughout the round from the Troodos mountains out across the plains and all whilst whilst winding your way past a 12th century monastery. After being designed by Donald Steel the course opened for play in 1994 which makes it the oldest golf course in Cyprus. The course was renovated in 2007 by Mackenzie & Ebert and both sets of designers philosophy was for the course to fit in to the natural undulations of the terrain flowing past hundreds of olive trees and fruit orchards. An 18 hole, par 72 course that can measure 6,533 yards from the white tees.
