The Golf Course - St Mellion Estate Golf Holidays
The Nicklaus course is a spectacular design by the Great Bear that opened in 1988 and was the first Nicklaus designed course in the Europe. It has been well received and hosted several European Tour events. You will find stunning scenery from elevated tees where the course will persuade you to play strategically to navigate the hazards on the way to the well manicured greens. An 18 hole, par 72 golf course that measures 7,008 yards from the blue tees but has a variety of tee boxes to suit golfers of all standards.
The Kernow course is also known as the old course at St Mellion as it opened in 1976 and was designed by J. Hamilton Stutt. The course gained quick recognition and hosted it’s European Tour Event in 1979 and has held two more events in the years since. This course also has stunning scenery but is more forgiving as it is shorter than the Nicklaus with widder fairways and large greens. Though the course was renovated in 2,008 which saw improvements to rebuild some of the greens and add new lakes and bunkers making it a thought provoking challenge. An 18 hole, par 70 golf course that only measures 5,6006 yards from the back tees.
