The Golf Courses - Penina Hotel & Golf Resort Break
The Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course was the first 18 hole course to be built on the Algarve and is now a multi award winning championship golf course home to many prestigious tournaments. Sir Henry Cotton designed the course amongst an impressive natural landscape and ideal surroundings which is a joy to play. The course contains streams, well placed bunkers, interesting water hazards, deceptive slopes and raised greens… even the best golfer can get caught out on this delightful golf course. An 18 hole, par 73 parkland course measuring 6,869 yards from the back tees.
The Resort Course is considered to be the next best test of golf at Penina Golf Resort. A 9 hole golf course measuring 2,875 yards from the yellow tees, sharing the same characteristics as the Championship course. When selecting this course for your round of golf you will play this 9 hole course twice.
The Academy course is another 9 hole golf course and is the shortest course of the three measuring 2,024 yards. Accuracy is required to score well at this course which is affectionately nick-named the pitch and putt.
