The 4* Amendoeira Golf Resort near Silves on the Algarve Portugal is set in an area of natural beauty with extensive landscaped gardens and views down to the dramatic Atlantic coastline. The resort offers a variety of accommodation options, from one and two bedroom apartments to three, four and five bedroom villas - with each villa having it's own private pool. The Oceanico Faldo & O’Connor championship golf courses are located on-site and the resort offers tremendous value packages with unlimited golf on these courses.

Each apartment and villa comes fully equipped with a kitchen including a fridge / freezer, oven, electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine and a dish washer. There is also a large living room, dinning area, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, hairdryer and a terrace with furniture.

In addition to the two world class golf courses guests can also make use of the excellent facilities during their stay at the resort; 9 hole academy course, driving range and putting green, swimming pool, 6 tennis courts, 2 football fields, 5 a side pitches and a gymnasium. Faldo is an 18 hole, par 72 parkland course designed by Sir Nick Faldo in 2008 that measures 7,216 yards from the gold tees and is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Silves countryside. Native flowers and fauna such as wild herbs and cacti adorn the whole course. Careful planning is required to make par and although the course is quite challenging it is a joy to play and open to players of all levels. The back 9 is hillier than the fist 9 holes and offer some spectacular views over one of Portugal’s finest golf courses.

O’Connor Junior is an 18 hole, par 72 parkland course designed by Christy O’Connor Junior in 2008 that measures a staggering 7,336 yards from the championship tees. The layout makes full use of the contours within a fertile valley. The clever design offers various water feature’s which are spread out along the entire course. Accuracy is demanded by players if you are to negotiate the many obstacles. Well placed drives are required from the tees of the Par 4 holes 7,8 and 9 as they all adjoin lakes, you will need to be well positioned if you have any chance of making your par. The course is noted for some large greens, subtle contours, ornamental setting and adorning palm trees.
