The Golf Courses - Las Palmeras Hotel Golf Break
Chaparral golf course has a unique design, being the only course in the Costa del Sol with 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's, providing a great variety of holes. Many of the fairways are tree lined with strategically placed bunkers, meaning accuracy from the tee is paramount to having a good round. The greens are of an excellent quality, well looked after and tricky enough to make it exciting. An 18 hole, par 72 parkland course designed by Pepe Gancedo which measures 6,178 yards from the white tees.
Cabopino golf course is known to provide some stunning holes of golf, especially the 3rd with an elevated tee shot playing deep into the valley below. The course meanders peacefully through a pine forest meaning that some of the tee shots can be a little tight. With Cabopino being a relatively short course accuracy is essential throughout the twists and turns of the course. An 18 hole, par 71 parkland course measuring 5,654 yards with excellent greens, many of them are elevated on the course.
Campo Asia is the oldest of the three golf courses at La Cala Golf Resort and is regarded by many as the most difficult layout at the resort. Geographically the land is prone to large undulations and the fairways can be quite narrow, plotting a steady and accurate path around this course can be very rewarding, especially on your approach shots. An 18 hole, par 72 parkland course which is the shortest of the 3 La Cala courses at 6,480 yards in length. The whole course offers spectacular views over the Mijas countryside. The large 18th green is overlooked by the club house terrace and an ideal hole to end your round at the La Cala Golf Resort.
Campo Europa is generally considered to be the easiest course at La Cala Golf Resort, with wider fairways, much more level terrain and more generous greens. Though the Ojen River comes in to play on 8 of the holes with strategic bunkers throughout so the course is still no easy feat. The views on this golf course are just as wonderful as the others at this great resort. An 18 hole, par 71 parkland course measuring 6,615 yards in length, that has been designed to used the natural settings to perfection.
