About the destination
The 4* Palmasol Hotel in Benalmadena is in a great location just 50 metres away from the Marina where you will find a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants to entertain yourself. The nearest beach is only 250 metres and is a great place to soak up the sun. Malaga airport is only a 20 minute drive away whilst Torrequebrada golf course is only 10 minutes away and Mijas golf club is 25 minutes away.
The hotel has 269 well decorated guest rooms which come in a variety of styles; double, superior, double for 3 or 4 people, junior suite and sea view options. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, hairdryer and a balcony whilst Wi-Fi, minibar, and safe deposit box can be purchased for use.
This package comes with half board but bed & breakfast, half board, full board and all inclusive packages are available. Food is served in The Palm buffet restaurant and you can get a range of snacks and drinks in Mambo’s bar and La Choza poolside bar. The Golf Course - Palmasol Hotel Golf Break
Torrequebrada golf course is considered by many to be one of the must play courses in the Costa del Sol. A course which carries all of the qualities of some of its more distinguished neighbours without the heavy price tag. A design by Jose Gancedo to incorporate the natural beauty of the pine, palm and olive trees whilst looking out over the Mediterranean sea. The fairways are always in a good condition leading you towards large greens with a fantastic putting surface. Though some care will need to be taken on the approach to traverse the hazardous well placed bunkers and several lakes. An 18 hole, par 72 parkland course measuring 6,399 yards which opened in 1976 and has since held the Spanish Open.
Los Lagos is the original course at Mijas Golf Club having been designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior which opened for play in 1976. Jones’ style when designing a course is to incorporate risk reward shots which can be seen around Los Lagos with as many as nine lakes to contend with. The course is still very fun to play for the average golfer but does offer a good test for the more adept willing to risk a little more in their approach. The fairways are wide with minimal rough allowing you to be ambitious from the tee. The views of the surrounding mountains only help to enhance the joy of playing this course. An 18 hole, par 71 parkland course which can measure up to 7,148 yards.
Los Olivos golf course has helped to build upon the success of Mijas Golf Club by introducing an alternative style of golf course. There are less lakes and more trees which give the fairways a tighter feel making accuracy paramount from the tee. The course is also shorter and has elevated undulating greens which require a good approach shot to give yourself a chance at a good score. Los Olivos is also a design by Robert Trent Jones Senior which opened for play in 1983. The course has since undergone a re-design in 2001 to improve the overall layout. An 18 hole, par 70 woodland course which measure 6,425 yards from the back tees
